Mega Man Melee Attack?

    Mega Man Melee Attack?

    I was asked to make a specific melee attack animation for Megaman. Basically, that he would grab (or grab onto) his enemy with his right hand/arm and then fire his buster point-blank into his enemy.

    I'm wondering if I should make such an action and it comes down to two questions:

    1) Is Megaman going to have any melee moves (a la Barrett)?
    and
    2) If he is, is this specific attack viable or even generally liked/wanted?

    Some sort of improved Digger Kick. Why punch like Barret when he can kick?

    —Well, it'd be nice to know about these design projects when someone's giving them, lol.

    Generally: I'd go with a regular kick animation for now. Punching is, IMO, relegated to Barrett for a reason. Volnutt should keep his kick—and this thread should be moved to the development forums.

    Ok, then. The kick is definitely on my animation to-do list (along with walking).

    Maybe while barret's melee attacks involve punching, we could make megaman get foot combos. If not, I'd stick with the Kick (it reminds me the NFL)

    Having megmaman performing a lot of kick combos would be awesome, I bet roundhouse kick is the favorite choose, how about if he does something similar to Shawn Michael's sweet chin music?

    Would the roundhouse be lika a street dancing kick for a great combo? I'd really love to see that :3

    Sounds ike a fun little cameo sort-of thing. The only thing is, if melee is going to be a secondary attack (Which at this point, it looks like it's going to be), we can't have it be too overpowered. In other words, this kick'd still have to be generally weak.

    We're not going to do that, actually. Melee attacks are inherently difficult to implement in a Legends game without other problems emerging with its inclusion, and I've been very careful with the issue so far.
