How about a 2D game in a diagonal view?

Post by Ben-Hur Pilotti on Wed Jul 20, 2011 3:30 pm

I gonna do a concept later, but I am thinking we shall sticky with 2D, of course, so we can do something really appealing, and much easier than a full 3D game.

I was thinking in doing the same gameplay of Legends in a game style like Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories (not the actuall battle system) in how Mega moves in the map and all.

Gameplay would still have to be changed significantly. Most of us have already come to the decision to stay as true as possible to the original design and go full 3D and make it as best as possible.

We're in it for the long haul, it seems.

Megaman Digger, made by fAB over at Legends Station, is currently in the midst of development as a 2D side-scrolling Legends game. An isometric 2D platformer would be cool, but it would be a pain as far as translating game mechanics works.

The only possible 2D Game that would make the series some justice would be if it was made in the same style as "Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge" for the GBA.

However, it still would not feel like a true sequel and I'm siding for true 3D.

Justice is everything I stand for.

And a very good one, aside from the May insert that should tell anyone it's a joke.
